Join MARAC in Harrisburg, PA on May 1-3, 2025 to explore the theme “Crossroads and Bridges in Archival Practice.” Our hope is that this conference will reflect the diversity of institutions, practice, theory, perspectives, and the profession itself.

MARAC meetings have a strong tradition of bringing accessible sessions to practitioners from all levels of the archives and information professional fields. Are you a volunteer archivist with on-the-job training, an administrative archivist with years of experience and education, or somewhere in between? All are welcomed and encouraged to participate! We are excited for a great mix of people to attend and promote the exchange of ideas.

Registration

Register online at Spring 2025 Harrisburg Registration. The registration fee covers the Thursday Meet & Greet reception, Friday concurrent sessions, continental breakfast, breaks, and evening reception, and Saturday concurrent sessions and break. Please confirm your employer's payment policies for meals and tours prior to registering.

If your employer is paying for your registration and you will pay for other items personally, please review this instructions before registering.

Early Bird (ends March 26th): Member $140, Non-member $205
Regular (March 27 - April 16): Member $165, Non-member $230
Onsite: Member $190, Non-member $255
Student: $70
Saturday only: $75

Workshops will be held on Thursday, May 1, and require a registration fee separate from the conference fee. A full-day workshop costs $100 and half-day costs $50. You may attend a workshop without attending the conference.

Paper, Film, and Glass: Photographic Materials and Preservation (half day)
Project Management in the Archival Workspace (full day)
Oral History in the Archives (full day)
Managing Change in an Archival Setting (half day)
Managing Digital Records (SAA workshop held at PA State Archives - full day.) Course information and registration are available at Managing Digital Records in Archives and Special Collections #2533. **MARAC members who are not SAA members are entitled to a $25 discount off the non-member rate. Contact [email protected] for the discount code to use at registration.

Hotel

Hilton Parking: The self parking garage is connected to the Hilton. It is the Walnut Street Garage, with the entrance located at 215 Walnut St., Harrisburg PA 17101. Parking for MARAC overnight Hilton guests is $15/night with unlimited exits and $30 for valet. Just for the day is $7/exit (valid for ten hours) All tickets have to be validated at the front desk to get the MARAC rate.

OVERFLOW HOTEL: Another block of rooms is available at the Crowne Plaza located at 23 South 2nd Street. The Hilton is located at One North 2nd Street. It is estimated to be a two-minute walk between the two buildings, 350 feet.

Our room rate is $149, plus taxes, for Wednesday & Thursday nights and $169, plus taxes, for Friday night. Parking is complimentary, valet parking is $25 per day.
